GFC-Test (CK093K) is a method for qualitative determination of clot lysis time in human citrated plasma. Manufactured by HYPHEN BioMed.

The Global Fibrinolytic Capacity test permits to determine the clot lysis time after addition of thrombin and calcium in the presence of an exogenous supply of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), at a limited and constant concentration, and silica.
For us with The Lysis Timer (LT) which is a handheld device, recently optimized by HYPHEN BioMed to evaluate the body’s global fibrinolytic capacity (GFC) in citrated plasma. The GFC/LT method has the advantage to provide results in less than 1 hour and provides better performances than viscoelastic tests.
