Babycheck-1 Duo (hCG dual test 5 mlU/ml & 1000 mlU/ml at 10 min – visual qualitative read only) is a rapid early pregnancy test for the determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) level of 5 mIU/mL and 1000 mIU/mL in urine. Manufactured by VEDALAB.
The VEDALAB hCG DUO 5-1000 test, is a rapid qualitative assay for the detection of human chorionic gonadotropin in serum and urine. The device is specially designed to run at the same time the same sample on two different tests of different sensitivity in order for the professional to: – Determine a very early pregnancy (hCG concentration between 5 to 1,000 mIU/ml) – Further quantify the exact hCG concentration using an analyser on a diluted sample (hCG concentration over 1,000 mIU/ml).
The method employs an unique combination of monoclonaldye conjugate and polyclonal-solid phase antibodies to selectively identify hCG in the test samples with a high degree of sensitivity. As the test sample flows through the absorbent device, the labelled antibody-dye conjugate binds to the hCG forming an antibody-antigen complex. This complex binds to the anti-hCG antibody in the test zone and produces a pink-rose colour band. In the absence of hCG, there is no line in the test zone. The reaction mixture continues flowing through the absorbent device past the test zone and control zone. Unbound conjugate binds to the reagents in the control zone, producing a pink-rose colour band, demonstrating that the reagents are functioning correctly.
