Haematex was founded by Thomas Exner PhD, a blood coagulation expert specialising in coagulation methods, and responsible for the one stage dilute Russells Viper venom test (dRVT) that is widely used for detecting lupus anticoagulants. Exner’s special area of interest includes prothrombotic conditions, detection of which may predict strokes and heart attacks.
HemaCore was founded in 2010 as a biotech company focused on developing, manufacturing and implementing into clinical practice new in vitro diagnostic technology for haemostasis - thrombodynamics. HemaCore’s Thrombodynamics Analyser System (Reddot Design Award Winner 2013) isintended for basic research use to provide qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the coagulation state of a blood plasma sample. “We help clinicians succeed, providing clear and reliable estimation of patients coagulation state, thus giving an ability to prevent thrombotic or bleeding complications.” Please see this link to see how to run measurements on Thrombodynamics Analyser Systems T2-T and T2-F.
HYPHEN BioMed develops and markets diagnostic reagents, many of which are CE marked and 510(k) cleared. The offer concerns clotting, chromogenic and immunological assays for measuring all anticoagulant drugs, blood extracts and recombinant substitutive therapies, as well as all the testing for thrombosis and haemostasis laboratories.
List Biological Laboratories Inc. was founded in 1978 by Linda Shoer. Cholera toxin, the first product, was sought after by those doing research in signal transduction and by others using the toxin B subunit to label neurons. At that time there were no commercial suppliers of this toxin. Because toxins have been the basis for many vaccines, List Labs products have supported vaccine development. List Labs was the first to commercialize many bacterial toxins for research, including C.difficile toxins and pertussis toxin. Today, List Labs remain uniquely focused on manufacturing, offering and supporting a wide range of bacterial products.
The Q-TOX™ product line offers high-quality native and recombinant viral and bacterial antigens, antibodies, toxins and immunoassays. Q-TOX™ products are solely distributed by Quadratech Diagnostics.
Rossix AB was founded in 2000 by Steffen Rosén. Rosén is responsible for the development of Coatest Factor VIII, the first chromogenic FVIII kit. “The driving force behind Rossix is to support the realisation of new pharmaceuticals for improved patient treatment. By providing methods and reagents Rossix assists the academic and industrial scientists to set up the appropriate testing methods needed in order to:
- better understand haemostatic disorders.
- design and evaluate drug candidates.
- control and evaluate bio-pharmaceutical production.”
