Introduction
and History
The current directors,
Graham Jones and Bob Etchells founded Quadratech in 1990, to market in
the UK, haemostasis products manufactured at that time by Chromogenix
of Sweden. Since then the business has grown to encompass four main areas;
Haemostasis, Microbiology, Rapid Assays and Research Reagents. We have
added several significant suppliers to our portfolio over this period
strengthening our presence in our key areas.
In 1998 we became incorporated as a limited company. In December 2008 we
gained ISO9001:2008 and now offer a range of our own branded CE marked
rapid assays.
Our simple philosophy has always been to provide the best products and
service we can.
Today
Quadratech now has a broad haemostasis product offering including activity,
antigen and clotting assays variously sourced from Hyphen BioMed, Chromogenix,
Affinity Biologicals, Rossix and Corgenix. These include a quantitative
assay for Factor V Leiden, a comprehensive range of Heparin, sodium pentasaccharide
and direct thrombin inhibitor assays, plus Factor VIII and Factor IX tests
and many other routine, research and bioreagent products.
Many of the haemostasis products are unique in their design, including
our range of HIT assays and the Microparticle activity ELISA.
Currently under evaluation we have a cleverly designed liquid based PT-INR
system from Zafena that is able to run all types of samples with the same
test protocol at room temperature.
The range of microbiology/virology products continues to grow the most
recent additions to our portfolio are the rapid Check4 duo cassette assay
for Influenza A and B and the two minute EBV tests for IgG and IgM.
Other tests in our Check4 rapid range include tests for Pregnancy and
Faecal Occult Blood, both of which can now be run quantitatively on the
Easy Reader. This is a unique bench top system utilizing high definition
closed circuit digital camera and software.
The latest addition to our family of suppliers is Cusabio Biotech Co.
Ltd of China who are manufacturers of an incredibly comprehensive range
of ELISA kits.

& Affiliations
Quadratech is a corporate member of the British In-Vitro Diagnostic Association
(BIVDA), the Institute of Biomedical Scientists (IBMS) and the British
Society for Haemostasis and Thrombosis (BSHT). We also have a liaison
with the Health Protection Agency (HPA), National External Quality Assessment
Schemes (NEQAS), Yorkshire External Quality Assessment Scheme (YEQAS),
Virology Discussion Group and the British Neuroscience Association (BNA).
Quadratech is a recognised supplier to the UK National Health Service
(NHS), private laboratories, the UK pharmaceutical industry, university
research groups and the HPA.
