Histone Peptide Arrays provide a tool to screen antibodies, enzymes and proteins for cross-reactivity or binding interactions with histones and their modifications. Covalent histone modifications and the incorporation of histone variants bring about changes in chromatin structure that in turn alter gene expression.

This peptide array consists of overlapping synthetic 15 amino acid peptides covering the entire histone H4 sequence of the mature protein (102 amino acids after removal of the N-terminal methionine). The overlap from peptide to peptide is 10 amino acids.
